I think Illini fans are a little jelous of the Hoosiers. What Sampson did was against the rules and he is paying the price for it. Saying Gordon was given money seems way off base to me. If they thought he was given money, trust me it would have been investigated by the NCAA.

Maybe we're wrong, far be it for a 17 year old kid to change his mind, at that age he needs to know EXACTLY where he wants to go to school.

FYI williamsville, gordon did not want to play for mike davis and when he was fired the gordon family contacted sampson about IU. so i'd hardly say that he "stole" him. BTW look at how many 17-18 year old kids decommit and change their mind each year in football and basketball, it happens all the time. But in the illini bubble this was the first time ever.

I would agree Bruce Weber and the Illini definitely cried more than their fair share about this.....not surprising for a school that is made up of probably 70% Cubs fans.
