Anthony Reyes was set to be tomorrow's starter, but instead the team is reporting he has elbow discomfort. Reyes, however, says he is fine and can pitch, says he has pitched with this for a while. Thompson likely to make start even though he has been roughed up all year in Memphis, and is just coming off the DL. Tony and Duncan have treated this kid like crap. Trade him elsewhere and give him a shot. This is about embarassing. But, hey, Thompson does throw that great ole 2 seam fastball, so he should pitch a masterpiece. I dont know why these games are played with him. Other teams know this coaching staff doesnt want him. So they wont get much for him. maybe a single A player. or a future player or hell maybe even just cash. he was supposed to be the next great thing. And he still may. But it just wont be here in STL. |
