The Mets are so hot-cold but we need at least 2 of these.

solid looking K with the bases loaded by duncan there to end the inning, here comes mulder, lets hope this is a very uninteresting finish to the game.

pretty solid inning for mulder, decent control and sitting around 91 on the gun, got unlucky with a couple of bloop hits.

Did the mets manager really intentionally walk Duncan to get to Molina with 2 outs? I mean, I saw it, but I still don't believe it. If I were Omar, thre would be a new guy at the helm today after that bone-head move.

It was with 1 out. They'd rather pitch to Molina and Lohse than Duncan and Molina I guess. Also a high chance of a DP with Molina batting.

That was a rather interesting game to be at last night. Mulder actually threw decent.

Exactly, with one out you hedge you bets and try to get the slowest runner in the league to GIDP.

Yeah, but the announcers even mentioned at the time how Maine had only induced 1 ground ball double play prior to last nights game. It's not exactly like you're playing to your pitchers strength.....

Looked like Chavez was going to make the exact same play he did in the NLCS! Luckily Glaus just barely got it by him. Good win by the Cards, would have been a tough loss to swallow after having a decent lead again tonight.

what a let down that would have been if he caught that, especially after the play before on ankiel's fly out.

Boggs doesn't seem to have the stuff to be a starter in the majors.
