Tuesday: Cardinals (Chris Carpenter, 0-0, 2.25) vs. Dodgers (Chad Billingsley, 11-9, 3.05), 7:15 p.m. CT
Wednesday: Cardinals (Joel Pineiro, 3-5, 5.04) vs. Dodgers (Derek Lowe, 8-9, 3.70), 7:15 p.m. CT
Thursday: Cardinals (Kyle Lohse, 13-3, 3.73) vs. Dodgers (Clayton Kershaw, 1-3, 4.02), 1:15 p.m. CT

I'll finally get to wear my Carpenter jersey to the game again. Anybody else headed out there to sweat on Tuesday night?

I am just glad that we don't have to see Howard or Burrell again this year.

I wish I could watch the game tonight. I saw Carpenter against the Braves last week. Although expected, he looked a little rough, but it was fun to watch him again. I hope he's improved for tonight.

Pathetic. Just pathetic.

This is not a team that deserves to be over .500.

Sums it up pretty well. I know Franklin hasn't done the best job as closer, but I still have more faith in him at getting the job done than Izzy. Wonder how tonight affects the chances of Wainwright coming back as a closer for the rest of the season.

On to extra innings :banghead:

They don't deserve to be over 500 and they probably won't end the season with a winning record. How many times to we get to watch Izzy blow a big one? We S&$K.

Wow that was ugly. Ludwick comes through again. The man has 28 home runs already. So much for Pujols catching up soon...

I hate our bullpen! Why didn't we push harder to get Fuentes or try to get Rauch before Arizona?

Edit: Although looking at the stats, Carpenter looks impressive for someone who has been gone for so long.

That was a win that you aren't happy about since they should have won it in the 9th.

Meh...actually I was happy to see Carpenter pitch well.

At least they won and Carp pitched well. I wasn't even excited when Luddy hit the dinger though. I had watched the whole game and was so bummed that a walkoff barely helped the depression.

surrounded by idiots? I don't think the people watching the team are the idiots. ;)

lol... I meant Duncan and LaRussa and Molina for not running out to the mound with a lead pipe and smashing him on the head for throwing him anything hittable there

I haven't bought into all the hype around Chris Perez yet but that dude was throwing pretty hard last night. I hate that they don't have the radar guns working.

Why in the world is he pitching more than an inning. He has said he's not comfortable doing that. It worked out last night, but more often than not, it's not going to.

I hate Jeff Kent. Instead of booing Manny Ramirez, fans should boo him.

I just hope TLR doesn't get too much confidence in him from it and throw him back in a pressure situation this weekend.
